The highly anticipated new album from one of the more well known names in chiptune is finally here. From an overall standpoint, Anamanaguchi has really thrown everything that they've worked on in the past four years at this album and it really shows. With 22 tracks, the album clocks in at just over an hour and sixteen minutes. The first listen through I was mildly confused about the track arrangement, as it really felt all over the place, however I recently realized that the interludes help to break up the song styles that are abundant throughout the album. The first seven tracks have the more bro-esque dancey tunes, while the later twelve through eighteen tracks have the more conventional sound that the band is known for. In most cases I'm not a big fan of longer albums, but Endless Fantasy doesn't pull any punches and shows just what the band is capable of. This album is easily one of my favorite releases of this year.
